I met this stunning mama about 2 1/2 years ago. We had just had our youngest babies, we found each other through social media, realized we lived so close to each other and we were both photographers. It was so great to meet her and I have been so grateful for her friendship these past few years. We have had so much fun getting together to location scout, take pictures of each other and our kids, talk photography and motherhood, and just keep up with each other. She is so kind, so wise, and a great friend. It was such an honor to be able to photograph her sweet family of five.

We met up at a place I had recently found and played by the river. We found sticks and rocks to throw and ran around. I adore this family and it was fun to spend time with them. I love the joy and wonder you can see in their eyes and the love they have for each other—I mean, look at they way they look at each other! My goal each photo session is to be able to photograph the love and adoration that families have for one another, especially children to their parents. I think that as a parent, it is often hard to see what we look like to our children, and as a photographer, it is such a privilege to be able to capture that and freeze it. It is truly beautiful.
