Party of 10 | Roseville Extended Family Photographer

“Every time I ever put my arms around you I felt that I was home.”

-Ernest Hemingway

I have to say that I love when I get asked to take extended family pictures. Why? Well, it means families are getting together, spending time together, and usually there is a whole lot of love and laughter and fun involved. This was definitely the case with this awesome family. We found a beautiful spot with some gorgeous light to set the scene and these beautiful people filled it up. I love all these genuine smiles, the ones where you can almost hear them laugh too. I love the looks they give each other because you can see how much they care for one another. I love all the doting on the grandchildren because it shows just how much they are loved and adored.

With a lot of extended families, they aren’t able to get together very often and when they do, it is a big deal….and it should be! My side of the family is lucky enough to get together once a year. It is so important to document that you were together, that you have been making new memories and we can make even more together. These times are rare and fleeting and even though scheduling a photo session, preparing for it, and going to it can feel like lots of work (and perhaps a little added stress), I promise that it is worth it. …and those kids that don’t always cooperate or pull funny faces? Sometimes those pictures make the best memories. So, plan to get together and plan to get your photos taken. Don’t put it off or say you will just do it next time. I promise you won’t regret it.
