“The real things haven’t changed. It is best to be honest and truthful; to make the most of what we have; to be happy with simple pleasures; and have courage when things go wrong.”

-Laura Ingalls Wilder

As the stress of the Coronavirus increases all around us and travel restrictions are placed, I think remembering the times when we could be with family makes them all the more special. Sometimes it is years between times we can get together with our loved ones, so those memories are ones we want to hold onto. My family and I just went to Texas over Christmas break to see my grandparents and my dad’s side of the family. I was so glad we went then, but I am even more glad now that we went. All the costs, stress, fits thrown by toddlers were all worth it. Time together can be taken away in a split second, in ways we have no way of foreseeing. Don’t take it for granted. Preserve those memories.
