An Evening to Remember | Roseville Family Photographer
“I want to be extraordinarily ordinary. I believe that's the most extraordinary a person can possibly be.”
-Zarafshan Khan
One of my favorite things to do as a photographer is to observe interactions within the group I am photographing, specifically between parents and small children. Don’t worry, I am not judging, because I know photo sessions can be stressful, but I am mostly just in awe. I love watching parents know just how to interact with their children, with so much love and care. I love when Mom and Dad get down on the child’s level and are so intentional with the way they treat them. I love watching these children respond and show how much they adore their family members. It is so beautiful to see it all unfold.
I loved spending an evening with this family. We had so much fun playing and just spending an evening together, making simple but joyful memories. These days might seem plain and normal, but I feel like they have such an impact. People, young and old, always remember how they were treated and how someone made them feel. My goal is to document this-to show what a treasure being together is, to show that ordinary days really can be quite extraordinary.
