Roseville Lifestyle Family Photographer | A New Family

“Indeed, nothing is more critically connected to happiness—both our own and that of our children—than how well we love and support one another within the family.”

-M. Russell Ballard

You might look at these pictures and wonder why I titled it, “A New Family.” Their son is not a newborn! This family immediately earned a special place in my heart as I learned of how they became a family. They fostered this amazing boy and adopted him just a year ago! They fit so well together and the love and respect they have for one another is just incredible. If I didn’t know their story before hand, I wouldn’t have ever guessed it. They just are natural together and belong to one another. It was a beautiful thing to witness and capture.

They wanted some pictures at a local creek, as well as their home, which they have put so much love and work into. They have so much pride in it and wanted to show it off, as well as include some of their pets. Their sweet dog came with us to the creek, but it was so fun to also capture them interacting with all of their other beloved animals. It was so much fun to create some new memories of them together and to document them as a family of three. I love this part of my photography job—getting to know so many different people and learn about their wonderful stories. They give me strength and teach me so that I can go on to be a better person, and I am so grateful for it.
